Cherill Williams

Hi my name is Cherill and I am a teacher at Kidditech Early Learning Centre. I have been teaching preschool aged children for 15 years and come to Kidditech from a Playcentre background having completed a Diploma of Early Childhood Education through the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand. I live locally and have 3 children, a son and 2 daughters aged 27, 19 and 17. I have a passion for gardening and will often spend large amounts of my spare time at this activity. My other hobbies include reading, movies, catching up with friends and exploring our beautiful country side from the back of a motorbike.

Why am I a preschool teacher?

My love of teaching and choosing this as a my profession stems from having my own children and being involved in Playcentre whilst they were young. Although my own children are now grown up I continue to to work with preschool children because I love their natural curiosity and sense of wonderment at the world around them.

What I love about teaching?

What I love most about teaching is that I get to have these amazing relationships with these 'wee people'. Each child has their own unique personality and I love discovering who they are and being a part of their early leaning journey.
